SkyBand’s quality approach connects customer requirements, disciplined RF design practice and measurable evidence from architecture through final validation.
1. Purpose
Our objective is to deliver dependable RFIC, MMIC and RF front-end engineering that is technically sound, traceable and aligned with the customer’s application. Quality begins with clear requirements and continues through design, review, implementation, verification and learning.
2. Customer and application focus
We work to understand the complete operating environment, interfaces, constraints, risks and acceptance criteria before committing to a solution. We communicate assumptions, dependencies, limitations and issues transparently and agree corrective actions with the customer.
3. Controlled development
- Translate system needs into documented and reviewable technical requirements.
- Plan design activities, responsibilities, interfaces, milestones and verification evidence.
- Use appropriate circuit simulation, electromagnetic analysis, layout review, DRC and LVS controls.
- Maintain configuration, version and change control for critical design data.
- Record design reviews, decisions, non-conformities and corrective actions.
- Define measurement and characterization plans that trace back to requirements.
4. Risk and supplier management
Technical, schedule, supply-chain, intellectual-property and information-security risks are identified and reviewed throughout the project. External foundries, packaging houses, laboratories, EDA tools and specialist partners are selected and monitored according to project criticality and evidence of capability.
5. Competence and collaboration
We encourage technical depth, peer review, respectful challenge, knowledge sharing and continuous development of skills. Responsibilities are assigned to people with appropriate competence, and specialist support is obtained where needed.
6. Compliance, confidentiality and security
We aim to comply with applicable legal, regulatory, contractual, export-control, confidentiality and data-protection requirements. Customer information and design assets are accessed on a need-to-know basis and protected using proportionate technical and organizational measures.
7. Continuous improvement
We use review findings, customer feedback, measurement results, deviations and project lessons to improve methods and prevent recurrence. Quality objectives may include review completion, requirement coverage, verification closure, on-time milestones, issue response and customer satisfaction.
8. Sustainability
Where technically and commercially practical, we seek to reduce avoidable redesign, unnecessary fabrication cycles, material waste, travel and energy use through robust specification, simulation, reuse of qualified methods and remote collaboration.
9. Responsibility and review
Management is responsible for maintaining this policy, providing appropriate resources and reviewing its continued suitability. Every person contributing to a SkyBand project is responsible for the quality of their work and for raising risks promptly.
